Day five of Gold Coast Schoolies 2014

Day five of schoolies on the Gold Coast continued to be free of any significant incidents with crowd numbers remaining steady in Surfers Paradise.

Overnight there were 16 schoolies arrested on 16 charges which included public nuisance and street offences. Of the 16 schoolies arrested there were eight people arrested for drugs mainly relating to cannabis.

Of those schoolies arrested 15 were male and one was female.

There were also 41 liquor infringement notices issued to schoolies.

Overnight police also arrested 28 people on 32 charges which were not schoolies related and were mainly for public nuisance and drug offences with 3 liquor infringement notices issued to non schoolies.
