HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Junior Hattie Burgher (Selkirk, NY, Loudonville Christian) has been named the NCCAA Division I National Player of the Week and the Empire 8 Co-Player of the Week in volleyball for the week ending September 21.

Burgher put away 60 kills in Houghton's three match week, averaging 4.6 kills per set and a .310 kill percentage over those three matches. She recorded over 20 kills twice and had two double-doubles. She hit an impressive .586% in Houghton's three set sweep over conference opponent Elmira, and tallied 5.6 kills per set. She also managed to dig up 35 balls and dish out five assists on the week.
