Police have charged two men following an alleged assault and robbery in Kingston overnight.
A 19-year-old Marsden man was charged with one count each of armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 21-year-old Slacks Creek man was charged with one count each of armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence and driving while disqualified.
It will be alleged that in the early hours of this morning a taxi driver was assaulted and robbed by two male passengers in Kingston who then drove away in the taxi.
As a result of the incident the driver suffered facial injuries and was taken to the Logan Hospital for treatment.
Both men are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday, July 14.
