Update: Impersonate police charge, Woolloongabba

A 29-year-old man has been charged with impersonating police and armed robbery following separate incidents at Holland Park West and Woolloongabba yesterday.

It will be alleged around 7.30am a man threatened an employee at a motel on Logan Road at Holland Park West with a firearm before stealing a sum of cash and fleeing.

It will further be alleged the man impersonated police by intercepting a vehicle on Turbo Drive at Woolloongabba around 9.45pm.

He allegedly produced a firearm and detained the male driver of the vehicle for more than hour while he searched the vehicle.

A 29-year-old Upper Coomera man has been charged with a total of 15 offences including one count each of assuming the identity of a police officer, deprivation of liberty, armed robbery, possessing dangerous drugs and stealing; and two counts each of supplying a dangerous drug, possessing drug utensils and entering premises with intent.

He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
