Zac Efron and Bear Grylls will rappel shirtless down a cliff side in the premiere episode on NBC of Running Wild With Bear Grylls. Both Bear Grylls and Zac Efron are, arguably, studs, so it is no surprise that the video trailer, featuring both of them sans shirts, rappelling down the cliff is rapidly going viral. Watch it below!

The premiere episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls on NBC will be on July 28 at 8:00p.m. ET. In each episode, Bear Grylls, 40, will take a celebrity out with him into wilderness survival types of situations and ask them questions about their personal lives. Zac Efron, 26, will be the celebrity guest in the premiere episode.

Other celebrities who will be featured in future episodes of Running Wild With Bear Grylls on NBC will include stars such as NFL Hall of Famer cornerback “Neon” Deion Sanders, Tamron Hall (Today and MSNBC anchor), Channing Tatum (22 Jump Street), Ben Stiller (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) and Tom Arnold (Sons of Anarchy). Bear Grylls will be taking the celebrities to wild and remote locations around the world where they will participate in survival types of situations for 48 hours in NBC’s new adventure reality TV series.

The sneak peak of the Running Wild With Bear Grylls episode featuring Zac Efron, in which he and Bear Grylls rappel down the side of a cliff, has been getting so much attention because they are both shirtless. In the video, Zac’s chiseled six-pack and Bear Gryll’s huge biceps have attracted quite a bit of attention from the fans of both of these celebrities.

After they remove their shirts, which was, incidentally, Bear Grylls’ idea, they put them inside of their waterproof backpacks. Grylls, to ensure that there will be no turning back, then throws both of the backpacks down the cliff where they land in water near the base of a waterfall. The only way for them to get the backpacks back is to rappel down the side of the cliff and get them.

Though the idea to rappel shirtless was Grylls’, an article in Entertainment Weekly suggests that they did it because the producers of Running Wild With Bear Grylls really know how to attract the attention of viewers and publicize the show.

Host of the series, Bear Grylls, stated in an interview with People that Zac Efron was up to do the show the second he was asked. Grylls said that Zac mentioned “he was a fan of the show and that he was in 120 percent.” He went even further than that, asking “for the biggest, baddest adventure” that Grylls and the producers of Running Wild With Bear Grylls could provide.

The Catskills Mountains fulfilled the requirements for the Zac Efron episode. Grylls said that he chose the area because special forces used to train there. That was more than enough of a reason for him. Efron was one of the six celebrities that were chosen to take part in trips of a lifetime with Bear Grylls to remote areas in the United States and around the world.

Survivalist and adventurer Bear Grylls was the star of the extremely popular Discovery Channel show Man vs. Wild. Now, for his new show Running Wild With Bear Grylls on NBC, Grylls has celebrities experience survivalist situations and he has them do daring activities, testing them to their limits and beyond, like in the premiere episode where Zac Efron and Bear Grylls rappel shirtless down a cliff side. Each of the episodes are likely to be entertaining, as celebrities are taken out of their comfort zones and experience wilderness adventures. The video sneak peak of the premiere episode is below!
