Enrollment is already starting to fill, so don’t delay!  Deadline is Monday, Oct. 17, or when class is full.

It’s time to sign up for the Blintz Brunch!
This important community event is the LJCC’s main fundraiser of the year, and it takes EVERYONE  to make sure it’s a success.  We’ll need many hands to show up on Saturday, November 5th  to help with the Blintz Brunch set-up, and there are many positions to be filled on November 6th for the LJCC’s 53rd Annual Blintz Brunch! Contact Steve Hurst (hurstlaw@aol.com or 766-0029) to let him know how you’d like to help.  Don’t forget to bake your specialties for the bake sale!

LJCC Silent Auction ~ Contributions Needed!
The Silent Auction will be held upstairs in the Sanctuary in conjunction with this year's Blintz Brunch on November 6.  The Silent Auction makes a significant contribution, upwards of $5,000 each year, to the LJCC budget.  Consider donating something to help make this year's sale a success.  A few examples are listed below, but additional ideas are welcome:
¨ Antiques
¨ Art work--paintings, sculptures, glasswork, pottery
¨ Food-- homemade baked goods, a special meal in your home
¨ Furniture items in good condition--lamps, rocking chairs, small tables
¨ Services that you can provide--housecleaning, gardening
¨ Tickets for Lied Center Performances or KU Basketball games
¨ Unique jewelry
Contact Suzy Achleitner at achleits@ku.edu  if you have something to donate.  We reserve the right to politely refuse an item based upon whether we believe it will sell at a reasonable price.

Women’s Lunch Group
The Women's Luncheon group will meet on Saturday, October 29th, at 12:30pm  at Nagoya Restaurant, at the Malls, 711 W. 23rd.  Everyone is invited and encouraged to come and bring a friend.
