Introducing our New Staff...
Executive Director
Catherine Curtis-Madden, who grew up in Richmond Hill and now resides in Keswick, assumed the role of Executive Director in June. Catherine comes with over 20 years’ experience in the non-profit sector with organizations; Friends of We Care, Lupus Canada and Kidney Cancer Canada.
Community Engagement Coordinator
Michelle Sudeyko is the newest member of the team at the Women's Centre of York Region. From time to time Michelle will be reaching out to you to let you know about upcoming events being hosted by the Women's Centre of York Region or other events within the community. Michelle looks forward to connecting with you in the coming months at events close to you or out in the community.
Calling All Golfers!
Women’s Centre of York Region is hosting our 6th Annual “Golf for Change†Tournament at Pheasant Run Golf Club in Sharon. We have a bit of a twist this year; we have invited men to play on their own separate 9 hole course with a shotgun start. This tournament will be held on Thursday, September 18, from 8:30 am– 3:00 pm.

Register for golf prior to August 1st and you will be in the draw for a complete car detailing package from MobileFlo; while you golf!
“Golf for Change†is a fundraising initiative that directly supports the Women’s Centre of York Region, a community based organization whose mandate is to help women in York Region thrive personally, socially and economically. Through our programs, women affected by significant financial issues or abuse, gain the skills and knowledge to build and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships, make decisions about their finances, gain access to income and employment, start businesses, go back to school and take on leadership roles. Registration is $110.00/person and includes golf, cart, bag drop & shuttle service, continental breakfast, buffet lunch, on course challenges, and great prizes and gifts. We invite you to get involved and show your support by registering a foursome, sponsoring the event, donating auction items, and helping us to promote a great event.
