WELLFLEET – The weather is warming—summer is right around the corner—and with it comes the opportunity for diverse musical offerrings from the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival. f
From Beethoven to Schubert, the festival’s 36th season will feature 13 concerts at seven different venues from Provincetown to Cotuit, and opens July 31 at the First Congressional Church in Wellfleet.
Artistic directors Jon Nakamatsu and Jon Manasse enter their ninth season and say the lineup will be a mix of perrenial favorites including the Emerson String Quartet, Borromeo String Quartet, and Jupiter String Quartet, as well as the debuts of individual musicians including violinist Yevgeny Kutik and prominent groups which include Imani Winds and American Brass Quintet.
in addition, for the first time in its history, each program will be titled, to impart the content and spirit of each concert.
As in the previous 35 seasons before it, the 36thseason of the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival will feature music from different centuries, continents and styles, culminating in its grand finale on August 28, which will feature Stravinsky’s classic “The Soldier’s Tale.”
