Sunday, November 16, 2-4p.m. - Channel Wrap Bracelet, $45

The wrap bracelet has rapidly become an essential accessory - not too difficult to make, but difficult to make well. Learn how to make the wildly popular channel wrap bracelet; our class version is a two-wrap made with rolled leather and 6mm fire-polish Czech glass or stone beads. The basic technique is adaptable to making bracelets up to five wraps long, but we suggest you start simple!

Saturday, November 22, 2-3p.m.: Elastic Bracelet, $10

Elastic bracelets aren't just for kids any more. They've become an increasingly popular option for beads of all types, thanks to the lack of bulky clasps and ease of stacking several at once. This one-hour session will cover all the basics of different stretchy materials, the knots which do the best job of closing bracelets off, and the use of crimp covers to conceal and protect the knot. Class fee covers instruction and materials for one bracelet.

Sunday, November 23, 2-4p.m.: Three Styles Earring Workshop, $40

Learn how to use chain, wire, headpins and eyepins in clever combination with beads to create varied styles. Techniques will include wrapped loops and briolette wraps. Students will make three pairs of earrings.

Saturday, November 29: (post-Thanksgiving mayhem)
No class scheduled!

We will, however, be open! Please come in and join us for holiday shopping, baked goodies (Spritz? Lemon bars? No one is sure yet) and the usual Saturday freebie intro class.

Sunday, November 30, 2-4p.m.: Sundance Style Necklace, $45

Learn to integrate leather with cable-strung sections of beads for unique, off-beat creations. Class will cover wire knots, use of crimp covers and wire guards to make diverse stringing techniques look professional! If you've been eyeballing some of the mixed-material necklaces in your latest jewelry catalog, this class will put you on the road to making your own, only better.

Saturday, December 6, 1-4p.m.: Kumihimo Spiral Bracelet, $65

Note the early start time for this class! Kumihimo is a Japanese braiding technique which can be used to great effect in your beadwork. It can be done with or without beads, is very pleasing to the eye, has great texture and is really fun to do. Cost of the class will include all the tools and beads you need to make this great bracelet.

Sunday, December 7, 1-4p.m.: Kumihimo Magatama Necklace or Bracelet, $75 (become a Kumi-fiendo)

Note the early start time for this class! Have you had some experience with kumihimo braiding or taken our basic bracelet class? Take your skills to the next level with these spectacular dragon-scale magatama beads and create a beautifully textured necklace or bracelet. This uses the same basic technique as the spiral bracelet, but uses a fancier bead and will require some additional prepwork.  (Previous experience with kumihimo or the spiral bracelet class is recommended.)

Saturday, December 13, 2-4p.m.: Channel Wrap Bracelet, $45
Wrap Bracelet 2
Last chance to get some of these beauties made before the end of the year! Channel wrap bracelets go together quickly enough to make spectacular gifts.

Sunday, December 14, 2-4p.m.: Squiggle & Paddle Hammered Earrings, $45

Explore cold forge technique and have some fun with a hammer. These earrings are made from heavy gauge copper or brass wire, shaped to specification (they are not as free-form as they look!), then textured, punched and overwrapped. Both of these styles are excellent foundations for all sorts of wire dangles and links.

Saturday, December 20, 2-4p.m.: Tasseled Mala Class $25 not including beads

It's mala time! The class fee covers instruction and materials for making your tassel, but does not include the beads as we expect that some people may want to bring in their own. We will have a selection of suitable beads laid out for purchase. Students may want to come in a little early to choose. Learn how to string your mala on sturdy steel cable and how to create, and attach, a gorgeous silky tassel.

Sunday, December 21, 2-4p.m.: Pearl Knotting, $45

Pearl Knots

This is one of the great basic techniques of beading! Learn to knot snugly and accurately between pearl or gemstone beads using Griffin beading thread and tiny pliers. This project calls for a lot of patience, but no other technique flows like a knotted necklace.
