Cairns CIB Detectives tonight charged a 40-year-old White Rock man with one count each of burglary and common assault.
It will be alleged the man broke into a home in Chataway Street, Mooroobool on September 12 before stealing a handbag and assaulting an 81-year-old woman.
The man is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Courts tomorrow.
