Lakewood, N.J.- The highly-anticipated start to the Georgian Court University men's and women's 2015-16 basketball season is less than a week away as the Lions host their third annual GCU "Hoops Madness" on Wednesday (October 14) from 8 p.m.-10:00 p.m.in the Wellness Center Arena. 

The entire GCU community is invited to take this opportunity to come on out and see this year's edition of basketball student-athletes in action, as well as to meet and greet the leaders of these two programs, Head Coaches Brian Reese (Men's) and Jasmina (Jazz) Perazic (Women's).

Highlights of the evening will include:

* Introduction of the 2015-16 rosters and coaching staffs
* Dance performances, featuring the 2015-16 Lions and the GCU Dance Team
* Three-point shooting contest
* Slam dunk contest 
* Exciting games, prizes, and giveways
* Great music and fun

Both squads officially commence practice on Thursday, October 15. The men tip-off for the first time on Friday, November 13 vs. Assumption College (hosted by Stonehill College) while the women take the floor on Saturday, November 14 at Le Moyne College.
