Meelo has been subjected to extreme physical, mental and sexual abuse while at Jefferson House in Fremont, Nebraska. Local news in the area has done stories on it, but Jefferson House refuses to release him and downplays his abuse, saying he is trained to take abuse. Dodge County Humane Society refuses to remove him as well, even though more than one witness has confirmed that Meelo, only two years old, is routinely abused/tortured at the hands of these kids and possibly staff.
