I hate to be the downer but I really want to communicate my experience. Initially, I was really excited to try reiki with Margarita. I loved her website and articles.I initially came in for only one session and then she recommended 4-5. This was something I wanted to do, as I wanted to heal at a deeper level.

Our first two sessions were good. Reiki for me felt more subtle, stirring of emotions. I trusted the process but at some point down the road, something about her behavior felt wrong to me and I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

For example, it seemed like she would misinterpret my thoughts and actions and put words in my mouth for me. The first time this happened, we were talking about intuition. I mentioned how intuition is different than what I'm trained to do on a daily basis, which is to think logically and scientifically. I was just making a statement. For some reason she said "it's a shame if you want to throw out your intuition, you can use both types of thinking and it will help you both ways." This left me very bewildered because I had no idea how she came to that conclusion.

The other time I felt strongly about "putting words in my mouth" was during our last session. We spoke of meditation. I had said that I wanted to find a practice I could incorporate whether that be a walk in nature or automatic writing. Something that feels right to me. The traditional style of meditation doesn't always stick for me. Margarita went on to say that I was "demonizing meditation", which was so far from my intention, that I was radically confused because what? How did she even get that from what I said? This one size fits all theme in spirituality is something I disagree with. People don't always need to meditate to connect to higher realms or be "enlightened/spiritually awake". There are a million different paths.

I had also mentioned that spirituality is an ebb and flow for me. Sometimes I'm pulled into it, other times I'm "back to Earth" and am focusing on school. This is actually pretty common. Margarita told me "that's a cop out, I run a business and I find time for my meditation." This felt so passive aggressive and condescending to me. I wasn't even talking about meditation, I was talking about spirituality in general and being pulled back into exploring this. At that point, I knew that I no longer wanted to work with her. I was super disappointed and angry.

During our 4th and last session, she went on to suggest even more sessions for me, stating that "I'm in need of more healing." and "I'm not at maintenance phase yet." This also comes off as manipulative to me. That she is trying to sell me something, that I'm in "need of more healing." Her sessions are also really really expensive, especially for a student.

Lastly, something felt off to me about her weekly subscriptions emails. They seemed very aggressive, and as if they were fear-mongering people into buying. Anyway, all of this I communicated to her through email, but her reply did not at all touch up on any of my complaints or even acknowledge her own behavior. She instead wrote back to me about connecting to source energy in a deeper way. Did she miss the point entirely? I'm confused.

I just wanted to speak my truth about my experience. Hope it save someone a pretty penny out there. Again, I went into this with an open heart and a lot of hope for her and her practice.

Margarita is an exceptional practitioner and human being. She is thoughtful in her approach and a wonderful listener. I truly appreciated my reiki training with her and most recent session with her. I had been struggling with focus and energy along with some other chronic health issues.

The reiki session truly helped me feel lighter and more focused. Well worth the time and financial investment for treatment and the additional follow up information she dispenses. Looking forward to my next visit!

I had a great first Reiki session with Margarita. She is truly amazing. She listened intently to what I felt I needed to share for her to help me heal which I greatly appreciate. She explained the whole process to me beforehand and she also took time to go into detail a bit more after the session so I could have a better understanding of the chakras and what was released. Afterwards, I felt more balanced overall. I decided to book a follow up to continue the healing process. I look forward to continuing to work with Margarita!

Margarita is the bomb.com!!!!! I cannot say enough about her but will try to sum it up here:
radiantly pure in positive energy, kindness, caring, skillz, intuitiveness to your needs and ailments, gentle, sincere, honest, funny, cool and just sheer bliss in a human form.
I love her and am so grateful to have her in my life. She regularly helps me with her unique treatment blends of acupuncture, cupping, aromatherapy, massage, reiki, healing stones, wisdom, therapy and counseling. She is really fantastic on every level.
Recently she even gave me a reimbursement check for an overpayment that worked out somehow through my insurance. Who does that? Reiki master and sister divine Margarita, that's who!!!

My boyfriend and I went to Margarita a couple weeks ago for Reiki sessions (first for both of us) after reading an article she had written about Chakras.

I was pleasantly surprised when arriving for the appointment because the office is much bigger than I expected.. Very nice and very clean.

Margarita took her time to sit with each of us and get a feel for why we were there and what we wanted to accomplish with the session.

During my session, I kept my eyes closed the entire time, looking/feeling out for any reactions. I didn't really feel anything major, but I did see waves of color and my leg jerked at one point which she said was a sign of release.

After she was done, she went into detail about what she experienced and feedback on what I needed most work on. It pretty much all resonated with me.. She even got a few tears out of me lol. There was a lot of info to process, especially since I'm new to all of this.. I wish there was like a little report printed up for you at the end lol. So be prepared and take notes, as soon as she's done, so you can get the most out of your visit!

A few small changes have taken place in my life in the weeks since my appointment.. Does it have to do with the reiki?? I can't say for sure, but I don't believe in coincidence!

All in all, I would recommend anyone interested in spiritual healing to pay her a visit. I am now signed up to her newsletter and the posts have been on point for me each time!

Margarita has been my one and only acupuncture experience - I can't say I'm an expert on the subject, but for what it's worth, I haven't felt the need to venture elsewhere for my needs. I see her as often as I can for stress, anxiety, digestion, and any/all body aches and pains that I may be recovering from that week (plantar fasciitis, tight hips, lower back pain, you name it).

I leave every session with immediate physical relief. I'm breathing easier, my muscles are less tense, my mind is clear, and my mood is peaceful and positive. And within the past 10 months of our sessions, my chronic digestive issues have gone from striking weekly to once in a blue moon.

She's been an amazing healer for me physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually... and I'm looking forward to experiencing a Reiki session soon. Thank you Margarita, for everything.

For four weeks, I had unexplained swelling and pain in my knee, so I decided to try acupuncture. My friend Pavla recommended Margarita at Alcantara Acupuncture, who she'd been seeing to treat her (serious) allergies.

Walking into Margarita's treatment room is like slipping away from the noise and chaos of New York City. I have seen her three times now, and I look forward to each visit. Margarita is an attentive listener, and tries to address your pain points (whether it's a toxic coworker or a swollen knee) from a holistic point of view. I now go to Alcantara for Reiki treatments, which I prefer to acupuncture because I like actively working with Margarita for an hour. (During acupuncture, you rest for your treatment; during Reiki, Margarita stays to help you calibrate your body's energy.)

I had never done Reiki before, but now I love it. It's an hour of quiet and gentle energy channeling from the crown of your head to your toes. It's the opposite of racing toward the finish line; it's my one hour of reflection and meditation guided by Margarita. I couldn't recommend it more.

Long story short, Reiki with Margarita worked!

I had trouble with my communication skill, its as if my mind never connects to my mouth. I spent 2 years in therapy to treat my anxiety while taking many speech courses to improve my speaking skill...nothing worked

A couple months ago, the day before my interview for a job I really wanted, i visited Margarita. She was very kind to make time to see me in such a short notification for a Reiki treatment. Since then I have gone back a couple more times to work on my communication goal.

After 3 rounds of interview, I landed the job.

I felt improvement over the last 3 months and had a sudden breakthrough a couple weeks ago. I felt myself speaking fluently and eloquently, in front of a client and coworkers at my new job! It was as if my body was adjusting to the new energy slowly, and finally worked.
