Natural Hair Rocks Salon

This stylist is talented but more so in business than hairstyling and yes she owns the salon. She can do your hair but you won't be impressed. Her styling ability is average and she understands product use but that also helps marketing and sales which is her strong suit. Hair is obviously not her passion. BUSINESS is! Her attitude is also dry and leaves much to be desired. Customer service is poor but her ability to sale keeps new people coming hence her longevity. But don't take our word from all these 1 star reviews, in her own words she says on her website if your ride is not here when I'm done I'll put you out. Does that really need to be part of a first impression though? You couldn't post that inside the shop? Never had this problem but geez, that should tell you all you need to know. Amen.

My daughter requested a silk press at this salon, and the result was awful. Her was was dry and puffy. I'm not sure if they understand what a silk press looks like, but this was definitely not it. Curly was the hair dresser. I would not suggest this salon.

Unfortunately, my experience at Natural Hair Rocks was an unpleasant one. I paid upfront 90 dollars for highlights. Went to the salon and had a cut, hydration treatment, and silk press added to my highlights. I asked for a bob cut and was not given that! Curly, chopped my hair into something unexplainable. Now I'm left with having to start my hair growth journey again, I don't have anything close to a bob and I was charged an additional 112 dollars. I won't be returning to this establishment again, disappointment is an understatement!

My experience was horrible. I told her I was TENDER HEADED before she even started and she didn't handle my head lightly at all. First of all when she was blow drying, she didn't work in sections. She just took the brush and and yanked my head, I don't have the kind of hair for that! It's too thick, and my coils are too tight. Now I have had another stylist blow-dry without sectioning, but it was nowhere near as painful.

Second, my hair frizzed up the next day. Can't really blame her, but my last stylist managed to work some magic and had my hair straight for 2 weeks, rain or shine. I'm just saying.

Then she proceeded to charge me $30 for a trim (ridiculous) that she voluntarily did. I never asked, I assumed it was included like most salons. Clearly, if I had known it was extra on top of the $80, I wouldn't have let her cut my hair, which she butchered. I thought that I was getting a better deal because her's included a protein treatment that I really needed, but I ended up paying $110 at the end of the day for some BS. But I learned a lesson, can't trust every stylist to know what they're doing.

Pros: It is a nice salon, clean and well kept. BUT

Cons: Customer service needs some work. (a lot)

Owner's response: "No one butchered your hair. Next time go to a salon you can afford cause clearly we are out of your price range."

This goes back to customer service. I think it was very unprofessional. This is MY review and MY opinion.

NO ONE SHOWED UP FOR MY APPOINTMENT THIS MORNING!!! If I could give this place no STARS I would. I am a brand new client and had to pay a $25 reservation fee for my appointment this morning at 9:30am. I am sitting in front of the shop waiting for someone to arrive and then I get this text message saying It's 9:35 you are late and I am canceling your appointment. Who does that?? Most places give you a 15 minute window before canceling. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!! This was an absolute horrible experience and a waste of my time. I demand a refund on my deposit. This salon is schemings for your money and offering poor service.

I received the silk press with hydration steam over the weekend. My hair is fine and did not keep the curl the next day after I wrapped it at night. However, my hair stayed straight. I will definitely go back to Larissa to help get my hair "trained" with having natural hair pressed.

I like the fact that I was out of the salon within 2 hrs. I also liked the privacy of the individual suite.

Larissa has been doing my hair for about 4 years now. She has always been professional and very knowledgeable in her profession. She offers several specials through out the year and her business is doing extremely well. She uses quality products and good techniques when caring for your hair. Oh yeah I am always in and out.

I've been searching for a good natural hair salon. My hair type is 4 b/c so its hard to find a good stylist to deal with my hair texture. I made an appointment with Larissa two weeks in advance because its really hard to get an appointment with her (I thought that was a good sign). My appointment was 12:30 on a Saturday and I arrived at 12 because I was coming from Marietta (an hour drive to her shop). Larissa greeted me and asked me to sit in the waiting room up front. It seemed as if she was behind but she didn't mention it so I thought maybe the people waiting were for some one else.

To make a long story short.....I left natural hair rocks at 2:00 pm with my hair being untouched and Larissa never acknowledging I was there waiting. I would have understood if she would have come up front to check on me or to say how long she would be before I was able to get my hair done.

I was VERY disappointed because I drove an hour one way to get services that I did not receive that day. I understand she may have been the best, but you shouldn't treat clients as if its a privilege for you to decide to do there hair when it should be a privilege they came to you to get their hair done!
