A German satirical program has released a hilarious music video declaring the country’s unconditional ‘surrender’ to ‘Minister of Awesome’ Yanis Varoufakis.

“Dear Greek Folks,” the makers write on the video’s Youtube description. “The time has come: we surrender! Take all our money, you may also take Helene Fischer, but please, keep this financial Hercules off us. We could only just bear with Costa Cordalis so this is clearly way too much!”

The video begins poking fun at German stereotypes noting that the Germans are ‘tough as leather’ and ‘fast as hounds’ fearlessly enjoying national dishes such as stuffed pig stomach and roast horse.

“We started two World wars and almost won them both,” the lead singer boasts. “Almost!” echoes the chorus.

However the Germans who ‘don’t fear death’ do fear one thing: Yanis Varoufakis.

Accompanied by rock opera style power chords the song goes on to extol Varoufakis, the ‘Greek minister of OMFG,” and a man who puts the "Hell in Hellenic”.

“His armpits taste musky, half God, half souvlaki.” Varoufakis is ’on the highway to Hellas’.
