Dear friends,   It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Artie Shaw today, September 16, 2017.  Per Artie's wishes, no funeral or shiva is planned.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Artie is survived by his partner, Julie Trowbridge Alford; his children; Deborah, Alan, Rissa, Leah and Jennifer, as well as friends too numerous to count.  Active in the LJCC since the 1950's, Artie began and directed the first Religious School in 1960, served on the board for many years, and represented the LJCC in the larger Lawrence community. A retired clinical psychologist, Artie was a passionate voice for compassion and justice.  He will be deeply missed.   May his memory be a blessing.   (Photo by John Young)
