BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Prairie View A&M at Arkansas Pine-Bluff game – scheduled to air tonight at 8 p.m. CT on ESPNU – will no longer be televised due to the impending snowstorm set to hit the Northeast on Monday night. The game is still scheduled to be played locally.
Prairie View will appear on the SWAC Digital Network Saturday, Feb. 7 at Texas Southern. The doubleheader with the women is set for a 5:30 p.m. CT tipoff.
Prairie View A&M closes out its brief road trip looking to go out on top as they prepare to face the Golden Lions of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday night. The contest will be televised live on ESPNU at 8 p.m. and marks the third time both teams have played each other on the channel. The Panthers have won three straight games for the first time this season and are on their longest winning streak since winning the first three games of the 2014 SWAC Tournament in March. PVAMU is looking to win four straight for the first time since 2009 and UAPB will be a tough place to win as the Panthers have not won in Pine Bluff, Ark. since Jan. 24, 2005.
UAPB has won 15 of the past 19 meetings against PVAMU with all of its losses occurring in Prairie View during the 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2014 campaigns. PVAMU's last win over UAPB in Pine Bluff, Ark. occurred on Jan. 24, 2005 in the HPER Complex.
