Anthony Bourdain eats Waffle House for the first time, loves it

Anthony Bourdain's culinary travels have taken him to every corner of the world. But somewhere in between jetting off to Namibia and Laos, he never passed beneath the glowing yellow awnings of a Waffle House.

That changed on a recent episode of Bourdain's CNN series Parts Unknown, where he paid a late-night visit to a Charleston outpost of the humble-yet-iconic Southern chain with fellow chef Sean Brock.

Bourdain is slightly baffled by the whole affair, until he starts eating the pecan waffles, slathered in butter and maple syrup, that Brock insisted they order.
