Female students at TUT Nelspruit are fat – EFF’s Ndlozi

Students at the Tshwane University of Technology’s (TUT) Mbombela campus in Mpumalanga are fat and out of shape, according to Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) national spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.

Ndlozi was addressing the students at the campus on Tuesday during the party’s rally ahead of the SRC elections to be held today, Mpumalanga News reported.

“The girls here will wonder why the men leave them for girls in Gauteng – it is because there are sports facilities there where students are able to attend gym and keep fit,” Ndlozi said.

“The minister of sport, Fikile Mbalula, is busy playing number one fan to Floyd Mayweather and Beyoncé, while students in this city have no sporting facilities, which causes them to become fat,” he said.

Ndlozi went on to compare the girls to those in Gauteng, in the way they wore their T-shirts.

“Summer comes early in Mbombela. If the girls here were fit enough, they would wear their shirts in style, like crop tops, instead of wearing them like night dresses,” he added.

The girls responded to Ndlozi’s attack, saying they felt insulted.

“I don’t take kindly to being called fat. I get his stance on the sports facility matter, and I share the same sentiments, but why hurl insults at us? It was really uncalled for,” said one student.

The handful of students who attended were also promised proper residential areas, free Wi-Fi and training facilities, should the EFF take over the SRC this year.

“We urge you to try us, for just a year. We will get rid of corruption, give you proper residences and free Internet. Adequate transport systems also rank high among our priorities for this campus,” he added.

On Wednesday, EFF leader Julius Malema commanded party supporters to attack Sasco members during his visit to the TUT main campus in Pretoria West, after being attacked by members of the student body.

Malema was visiting the campus in hopes of rallying voters to support the EFF in the SRC elections, also taking place today.

During his visit to the campus in Mbombela, Ndlozi said the EFF was ready to take the city in next year’s local government elections.

“Mbombela is a city of corruption. Every business must run past a certain individual; we are going to uproot all of that,” Ndlozi said.
