If you’re searching for a home in Central Ohio, the city of Dublin is worth a look! This popular, growing community is about 20 minutes northwest from downtown Columbus.

Commuting options include Highway 33 and North I-270, along with Riverside Drive and Emerald Parkway. The Central Ohio Transit Authority provides bus service to the southeast area of Dublin.

Dublin is best known for its Irish settlement history, which is celebrated during the Dublin Irish Festival, one of the largest events of its kind in the United States. The 2014 festival runs August 1 through August 3. Community celebrations happen throughout the year with special events for St. Patrick’s Day, Independence Day, Halloween and the winter “Holly Days.”

Once a rural hamlet, Dublin has experienced rapid growth in the past 25 years. In 1987, Dublin had 5,000 residents. As of the 2010 census, Dublin’s population was just under 42,000. Despite the growth, Dublin has preserved the old world charm of its historic downtown, which features shopping, dining and nightlife.

The city is home to the corporate offices of Wendy’s, Cardinal Health and IGS Energy. Dublin has been named as the “Best Suburb to Do Business” by Columbus CEO magazine reader polls.

Dublin is also a haven for golf enthusiasts. Jack Nicklaus hosts the annual PGA Memorial Tournament at the Muirfield Village Golf Club, featuring some of the biggest names in professional golf. The 2014 Memorial Golf Tournament runs from May 26 through June 1.
