WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A Winston-Salem restaurant made the No. 1 spot on a recent list of the “Top 12 North Carolina Diners.”

Travel blog Scoutology.com published the recent list, putting Mary’s Gourmet Diner in Winston-Salem at No. 1.

“Mary’s Gourmet Diner has inventive diner fare like pimento nachos, polenta fries and build your own Benedicts with toppings like cranberry cream cheese, pork chop and tempeh,” according to the post.

Poole’s Diner in Raleigh took the No. 2 spot, followed respectively by Midnight Diner in Charlotte and Elmo’s Diner in Carrboro.

Mary’s Gourmet Diner is on Trade Street in downtown Winston-Salem and was formerly called Breakfast of Course.
