In this season of giving thanks, it is fitting that we take the time to reflect on all of the many blessings that God has bestowed...most importantly the gift of God's Son Jesus Christ our Lord. God has given each of us many blessings and no matter where we are on life's journey right now, it is fitting that we should pause to say thanks. We should thank God for another opportunity to praise God's name for all that God has done for us. We should stop and thank God for our salvation which is a free gift...not because of any goodness of our own but simply because of the grace of God. We should thank God for each day that God sends and allows us another chance to get it right...to do it over...to make good on our promises.
This season of Thanksgiving is appropriately placed at the being of the season of preparation for the celebration of our Savior's birth. It is most fitting that we would begin this sacred season with an attitude of gratitude. There is nothing greater for which we must be thankful than our Savior Jesus Christ. Because of Him, we are forgiven, we are restored, we are renewed and we are abundantly blessed. He opens doors that no one can shut and shuts doors that no one can open...all of it for our good.
What are you grateful for in this season? What are you thanking God most for during this time in your life? No matter what you are going through...no matter what your circumstance or condition, it is always appropriate to take the time to say thanks. Has God blessed you? Has God done anything for you? Has God kept you over the mountains and through the valleys of life? Then be sure to take the time to give God the praise and thanks that God deserves.
I pray that God would bless you, your family and your friends with the continual abundance of God's goodness and grant to you phenomenal favor every day of your life.
