Drug charges, Surfers Paradise

Police have charged two 17-year-old women with drug-related offences after a search warrant was executed at a Surfers Paradise hotel overnight.

Just after midnight, police conducted a search of a hotel room on Orchid Avenue where it will be alleged they uncovered a quantity of ecstasy tablets.

Two Ipswich women have been charged with possessing a dangerous drug. One of the women was additionally charged with supplying a dangerous drug.

They are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court at a later date.
