MONTICELLO — The 20th Annual Alvy Early Softball Camp has been set for July 7-9 at the Monticello Sports Complex.

The camp is designed for girls ages 6-17 and will cover all aspects of the game broken down into three sessions. The position and fundamental session will familiarize the campers with basic fundamentals needed to play all on-field positions. The hitting session will provide every camper with extensive instruction in the mechanics and techniques of hitting. The pitching/catching session will give catchers a working knowledge of their position through drills and personal instruction, while the pitchers will work on the absolutes of pitching fundamentals as well as being a performer on the field.

The camp is coordinated by Bentonville High School softball coach Kent Early, as well as several of the state's most successful high school coaches along with current and former UAM players.
