The average asking price for a condo in Chelsea is $316 a square foot, according to a new analysis of market-rate listings from real estate research site NeighborhoodX. That is well ahead of the $234/foot average asking price for Chelsea houses.
The sum also places the most expensive Chelsea asking price—$444 a square foot for an 822-square-foot 1-BR, 1-BA at 60 Dudley Street—on par with the most expensive asking prices in Boston’s Hyde Park and slightly pricier than the most expensive ones in the city’s Roslindale neighborhood.
As for the range that NeighborhoodX used to get to that $316/foot average, that runs from $204 for Unit 3 at 110 Bellingham Street, a 2-BR, 1-BA spreading to 1,220 square feet, to that $444 for Unit 325 at 60 Dudley (pictured at top).
