OGDEN, Utah - The Weber County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a woman's body was found on the East Ogden Bench.
Deputies said a mountain biker found the body on the mountainside Monday morning near 1500 N. Mountain Rd.
According to the Weber County Sheriff's Office, the mountain biker's dog smelled a foul odor and led the man to the body above a hiking trail in thick oak brush just before 9:30 a.m.
Weber County said it appears the body has been on the hillside for "some time."
Deputies said they believe the body was there for more than a few weeks based on it's state of decompose.
Authorities are working to determine who the woman was and how she died.
