CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell University junior Brielle Reighn (Runnemeade, NJ/Triton Reg.) was selected the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference Division II Player of the Week for softball, the organization announced today. Reighn batted .700 with three runs, three doubles, a triple and seven runs batted in over three victories last week.

Reighn, who was chosen the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week yesterday, In a delivered two doubles and four RBIs in a 10-2 win at Pace University on Wednesday. On Sunday she went 5-for-7 at the plate with three runs, three RBIs, a double and a triple. Over the three games, Reighn posted a .750 on-base percentage while slugging 1.200.

Reighn, who is batting .341 with a team-best 11 RBIs so far this season, made the Daktronics All-America second team as a sophomore. Just 14 games into her junior season, she has 167 hits and 102 RBIs while batting .426 for her career.

The ECAC's membership includes approximately 300 colleges and universities from Maine to South Carolina and westerly to Missouri. Caldwell student-athletes have received weekly and year-end honors from the ECAC since joining the organization in 2004, and the men's and women's soccer teams and men's and women's basketball teams have competed in ECAC championship tournaments.

Caldwell (6-8) plays a CACC doubleheader at Post University on Wednesday, Apr. 1 in the first CACC doubleheader of the season for the Cougars. The first game starts at 2:30 p.m. in Waterbury, Conn.
