Speaking about when the game might be released, Atomic Pond Studios said:
“After about a year of development, the game is already nearly completed. The main tasks after Greenlight are implementing the Steam-Services (Achievements!) and polishing the game. At this stage of development we are really looking forward to get this game out to you people craving for ultimate coop fun as soon as possible!”
4. Istrolid
Istrolid, a Sci-Fi Real Time Shooter (RTS) from developers Treeform, allows you to build your own unique fleet, and slowly perfect it against other players designs or borrow and adapt their ship designs to suit your own ends. Rather than interrupting the flow, pace, or balance of the combat, the contemplative, planning stage is abstracted out into ship design. Over the course of several games, you perfect a fleet of ships, slowly modifying and optimizing them and learning what different kinds of ships you need to beat various opponents. You can lose a battle by not having strong enough ship designs, or fielding ones weak against the opponent’s choices, but every time you learn something new and can tweak your ships to try and cover their weaknesses, or try out entirely new ships or compositions.
The description of the game invites players to:
“Challenge your strategies and stretch your creativity perfecting your spaceships designs before taking them onto the proving grounds of battle. Jump straight into tense fights for territorial control where you maneuver your ships to best use their energy, ranges, firing arcs, turn rates and firepower.”
3. Star Crusade: War for the Expanse
Star Crusade: War for the Expanse will offer a deep and highly customizable card battle experience with more than 400 playable cards set in a rich sci-fi universe with multiple play modes, including single-player matches, ranked matches and random draft “raid” battles. The game also emphasizes strategic deck construction by letting players vary the size of their decks from 25 to 40 cards; smaller decks start the game first and develop more quickly, but larger decks have more survivability.
Star Crusade: War for the Expanse will feature hundreds of distinctive cards upon release and many more to come in the form of expansions, offering deep strategic options for CCG veterans while still remaining accessible for newcomers. The game’s fast-paced combat and countless combinations of card- and faction-specific tactics, supported by frequent content updates, will offer limitless strategy. Star Crusade is scheduled for release this Spring for PC via Steam and for iOS.
2. Last Will
In Last Will, the player will be tested in all manner of skills like logic, perception, maths, communication, timing and riddles. The game can be played alone, or in teams of up to 4 players. The mansion is randomly generated each time, and the difficulty can be adjusted. The game can be played in Heist Mode with a countdown clock, or in Free Play where you can set your own pace. Last Will, according to the developers, has some mild occult undertones, without going all out on a horror limb.
The developers have said that the plan to release the game sometime around May, saying:
“We currently have a simplistic version ready, that we are expanding and playtesting at a rapid rate. We hope to have everything ready for a launch around May 2016. We will launch an english version first, and look into localizations if everything seems stable.”
1. Spellforge
Spellforge is composed of a number of different “realms.” Each realm is progressively more difficult, and you’ll need to grow in power to dominate its inhabitants. As your mastery increases and you learn more effective spells, you’ll also be able to amplify each spell by acquiring upgrades such as critical strike, knock back and stun.
The result of upgrading your spells will turn you from a novice, into a force of nature, commanding the elements at will. There are many creatures to engage with different behaviors, strengths and weaknesses. Like in most RPGs, some are resistant to certain elements, and some have specific reactions that will let you form a strategy for how to defeat them. They all have one thing in common – they’re out to destroy you, and once they reach you, your shield won’t protect you for long.
