Passover reminds us that a people enslaved can know liberation even after 210 years of slavery. The Ten Commandments reminds us that God is a God of freedom. "I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage." (Exodus 13:14) God cares. There is divine concern for the oppressed and enslaved. Passover is proof that freedom is possible. It reminds us of our duty to pursue freedom for all. Passover challenges us to help compassion and justice to prevail. Freedom is a shadow of the Divine.
