The Cure will embark on an extensive 25-date North American tour in 2016, including shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Chicago’s UIC Pavilion, and Madison Square Garden in NYC. A complete itinerary will be revealed in January.
Update – Friday, October 9th: More dates have been announced for Los Angeles and New York City.
The Robert Smith-led outfit have performed sporadically in North America over the last half decade, headlining festivals like Lollapalooza, Osheaga, and Riot Fest. However, this will mark their first full-fledged jaunt since 2008.
The dates suggest The Cure could be headlining next year’s Bonnaroo, though that’s purely speculation at this point.
