One of the biggest challenges for any designer or fashion/accessory brand, is how to source and work effectively with their manufacturers, whether managing production in the UK or offshore.
Back by popular demand, this interactive session, is essential for any designer/maker or SME that's planning to outsource their production or is experiencing problems with their manufacturing. It will give you an understanding of sampling, production and quality control procedures, and the systems you need to have in place in order to avoid expensive mistakes.
Delivered by fashion industry expert Alison Lewy MBE, it will cover the following:-
- The production process
- Sourcing and selecting manufacturers
- UK vs offshore production
- Production and critical path management
- Managing quality control
- The necessary documentation including, production dockets, costing sheets, size and design specifications
- The sealed sample process
- Costing your products
By the end of the session you will have the confidence to communicate effectively with your suppliers and manage your production effectively.
Each participant will also be given the Fashion Angel Production Pack – essential templates and measuring guides that you can use for your own sampling & production.
