St. Clair Co. attorney, son of former IL Rep. facing DUI charges

PINCKNEYVILLE, IL (KFVS) - Deputies and police officers in Pinckneyville, Illinois officers were dispatched after receiving a report of a reckless driver on Saturday, August 20.

Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a blue 2016 Ford Hatchback.The vehicle failed to stop for officers. An officer from Pinckneyville had to pull ahead of the Ford to block it in order to get it to stop.

The driver was identified as Alex E. Enyart, of Belleville, Illinois. Enyart is the son of William Enyart, former Illinois U.S. Representative for Illinois's 12th congressional district.

Alex E. Enyart is an attorney in St. Clair County.

Enyart was arrested for driving under the influence and improper lane usage. He posted bond and was released to a valid driver.
