The Central Valley is back on the map for the Donald Trump Campaign.

Trump is scheduled to stop in Tulare on August 30th for a campaign fundraiser. Local law enforcement say they’re already preparing for it.

He’s making headlines all over the country, and on August 30, Donald trump will be headlining in Central Valley.

“He is the only presidential candidate to come and take and interest in our water problem,” Executive Vice President of Harris Farms William Bourdeau said.

Trump was here back in May for a rally in Fresno, which drew a massive crowd and hundreds of protestors.

Now he’s coming again for a fundraiser in Tulare.

“Trump is resonating with the common people. So you see people coming forward from all walks of life,” Chairman of Fresno County Republican Party Fred Vanderhoof said.

The sheriff’s office is heading up the security preparations, saying they’ll be ready for anything.

“An internal safety area as well as external. Traffic concerns and traffic control. All of that comes into play,” Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said.

He says they’re working with secret service, but were chosen as the lead local agency because they have dignitary protection training.

“Being able to identify how a crowd is operating. Background checks within the community and city. To make sure that all aspects of that dignitary coming into a community is protected,” Boudreaux said.

William Bourdeau met with Trump during his last visit and is excited to be meeting him again in Tulare.

“I want to work with anybody who wants to solve our problems,” Bourdeau said.

He says a Trump presidency offers the best prospects for the valley.

“What I hope to talk to Trump about is about the broken Central Valley project. We have our reservoirs north of the Delta, Shasta Reservoir and Folsom reservoir are full, but San Luis Reservoir where we get our water for the valley is only at 10 percent,” Bourdeau said.

The event will be a lunch fundraiser in Tulare. Plates are going for $2,700. The location has not yet been released.
