Literacy Day Big Success

West Virginia State University was proud to sponsor WVSU Literacy Day this past Saturday. 2585

A booth was set up just outside Dickerson Stadium prior to the football game and attracted a large number of kids, families, and teachers.
Approximately 500 books were distributed free of charge.

Special thanks go out to Read-A-Loud, WV Library Commission and WVSU Extension Service who were all major contributors.

Before kickoff of the Oct. 24 football game, area families were invited to participate in a free Family Day event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring pumpkin decorating and tailgating. The Family Day event was hosted by WVSU Military Student Services in conjunction with WVSU Parent and Family Programs.
