The Creative Center is 'Going to the Birds'

Joan Constable

Guest artists from all over are flocking to the Jon Ginsburg Gallery at The Creative Center offering their best work featuring birds. Our Creative Center artists have been working on "bird" pieces as well. The guest artists have been asked to donate 25 percent of their sales to The Creative Center.

We would like you to come see the show and encourage you to buy your favorite piece and help support The Creative Center! We will be awarding a People's Choice award so please make sure you vote for your favorite!

Our Opening Flight Reception will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday March 6 at the Jon Ginsburg Gallery, 410 E. Race Ave, Visalia.

"Going to the Birds" will run March 2 to April 17. The Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Please check in at our business office at 606 N. Bridge. For more information please call (559) 733-9329.

The Creative Center is also currently showing the works of four of our core artists, Michael Malloy, Daphne Newman, Maria Hernandez and Richard Burdge, at the Visalia Convention Center.

We will be hosting a reception form 5-7 p.m. March 13 in the Main Lobby. We welcome you to visit us there and see what talented artists we have here and why it is so important to support the Creative Arts in our community.

In April we will be the featured artists at Provost & Pritchard at 130 N. Garden Street. Provost & Pritchard will be one of the stops for the Wine & Cheese Walk on April 2 so make sure you drop in and enjoy our art while sampling the wine and cheese!

Coming up, The Creative Center will be hosting the 16th Annual High School Art Showcase in May giving the high school students of Visalia a chance to display their talents.

On the heels of the High School Art Showcase is The Creative Center's Spring play.
