BEAUTY: Kanya has become an underwear model despite being born with no legs

Kanya Sesser was born with no legs, but that hasn't stopped her becoming a successful underwear model.

The 23-year-old, who says she doesn't "need legs to feel sexy", rakes in more than £650-a-day posing in racy lingerie.

In doing so the inspiring young woman is breaking down barriers in the fashion industry showing that just because she is different, doesn't mean she isn't sexy.

The Californian model said: "I was mainly doing athletics shoots then as I got older I got into lingerie modelling.

"It's something fun and it shows my story - I'm different and that is sexy, I don't need legs to feel sexy.

"I enjoy making money from it and I love showing people what beauty can look like. These images show my strength.

"Modelling wasn't something I'd always dreamed of doing - it just happened for me and I got used to it."

BRAVE: The 23-year-old earns more than £650 a day

Kanya has been determined to overcome her disability since she was 15 when she began doing sports modelling.

And after shooting for a number of outlets she was soon scouted by underwear and bikini brands.

Now she combines her modelling career with motivational speaking and her love of sports - currently training for the 2018 Winter Paralympics.

She said: "I like expressing myself in a different way than people usually see.

"I'm very honest, I'm real - I'm never going to behave different to anyone. This is just who I am.

"I'd love to keep modelling while in training for the Paralympics."

UNDERWEAR MODEL WITH NO LEGS

Kanya was adopted from an orphanage in Thailand when she was five-years-old and brought to Portland, Oregon, by her new family.

Instead of a wheelchair, she uses a skateboard to get around and learned to walk on her hands.

She is an adrenaline junkie and loves extreme sports. The inspiring beauty doesn't let her disability hold her back and is hoping to compete in mono-ski in the Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, in 2018.

Her new boyfriend Brian, who she has been dating for the past month, is one of her biggest fans.

"Brian is awesome - he is very supportive of everything I do," said Kanya.

"He recently saw me modelling for first time and told me he thought it was beautiful and unique."

Despite her work as a model, Kanya says she prefers going make-up free.

CONFIDENT: Kanya insists she doesn't "need legs to be sexy"

She said: "Outside of work I don't wear make-up.

"I can be girly and I don't mind wearing it - I like getting my make-up done when I am on a shoot.

"But people say I'm beautiful whether I'm wearing makeup or not."

Kanya is also working on a book about her incredible journey through life, set to be published next year.
