Earlier this year, Primus introduced us to the wackiest, most original take on the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory soundtrack. Now, much like Dark Side of the Moon and The Wizard of Oz, fans can get a first hand glimpse at what the Primus interpretation of the soundtrack sounds like when synced up with the film.

Les Claypool spoke to us about his affection for the film, saying, “This was a project I’d been thinking about for a while. I knew I wanted to take on some sort of sacred cow.” The band originally explored the theme during their 2013 New Year’s Eve show, when they recreated the soundtrack on stage. They liked it so much that they decided to take that idea into the studio and reimagine the whole thing.
