CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval has signed an agreement that clears the way for Poland to open a trade office in Reno.

The agreement was finalized Friday and formally announced Wednesday, as the governor nears the end of a three-week trade mission to five European countries.

Poland is pledging to open an office at the University of Nevada, Reno’s Innovation Center. The partnership aims to help Polish businesses break into the American market and vice versa.

Sandoval also announced that the Polish American Chamber of Commerce will move its annual conference from Chicago to Nevada.

The governor also joined members of the Nevada Jewish Federation to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland. Officials say the group prayed for those who were killed in the Holocaust and paid tribute to survivors.
