Delmar Janovec, CEO of CannaGrow Holdings, comments, "Dr. John P. Janovec was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Corporate Operations. Dr. Janovec will be in charge of managing the overall operations of the Colorado Buffalo Ranch Grow Facility, which is currently in the pre-construction permitting process. He has 15 years of professional experience in the Botanical and Agricultural-Horticultural Sciences, including over twelve years as the Principal Investigator and Director of highly successful scientific projects that have positively impacted corporate strategies of nonprofit organizations, public and private universities, and private companies in the United States and South America.

"Dr. Janovec earned his Doctorate in Botany from Texas A&M University and his B.S. in Agriculture from Kansas State University, with an emphasis on greenhouse and nursery production of plants. Upon finishing his Bachelor degree, Dr. Janovec was selected for a special research training fellowship at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. That fellowship experience and the subsequent initiation of his Ph.D. program opened the first doors to the rainforests of tropical America, where he has been leading research and exploration activities ever since. Upon completing his Ph.D. he carried out a Postdoctoral Fellowship with Dr. Scott Mori of the New York Botanical Garden, during which time he deepened his botanical knowledge and initiated the long-term research endeavors that have, to this day, kept him focused on the rich plant diversity of the American tropics.

"Dr. Janovec, originally from Kansas, the Midwest of the USA, served most recently as Research Professor in Environmental Sciences and Agriculture-Forestry with the Universidad Científica del Sur in Lima, Peru, a position that he held since 2012 before joining the CannaGrow Holdings management team. Prior to 2012, he worked for more than a decade as a Research Scientist and Environmental Consultant for several leading non-profit and inter-governmental agencies. In his capacity as a botanical scientist and professor he has dedicated a considerable amount of time to exploring the vast forest and swamp ecosystems of the Andes-Amazon region of Peru with focus on the discovery, documentation, and cultivation of wild native plants. One of his most noted projects over the last decade has focused on the domestication of a wild species of Vanilla orchid that is native to the Peruvian Amazon. The project has been funded over the last decade by governmental agencies in the US and Peru, as well as private foundations and donors. Currently he and collaborators are managing a new research grant funded in January 2015 by a Peruvian government agency to support a two-year project. That project is just one of many examples that demonstrate Dr. Janovec's vision for multi-disciplinary projects rooted in scientific research and development, a vision that will assure a solid theoretical-technical base to forthcoming Cannabis production activities based at the Buffalo Ranch Grow Facility."
