Srutkova signs to play soccer for Lady Eagles

Karolina Srutkova of the Czech Republic has signed to play soccer at OC.
SVITAVY, Czech Republic (July 7, 2015) – Karolina Srutkova, a standout youth player in her native Czech Republic, has signed to play women's soccer at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach Randall Robsion said Tuesday.

The 5-foot-11 Srutkova once played for the Czech Republic's under-15 girls national team. Robison said she has a unique set of skills that will make her invaluable to the Lady Eagles.

"Karolina is another great addition to our program," Robison said. "She is comfortable playing a few positions on the field. Her athleticism, technical ability and field vision will serve her well in contributing to our success.

"We look for Karolina to be part of our back four and also contribute in the center of the field. She will almost certainly be a target for us on set pieces as well. I am very excited and happy that Karolina is joining OC soccer."

Srutkova is the fourth newcomer for the 2015 season announced by Robison, joining midfielder Rubí Villegas Aguilar of Puebla, Mexico, defender Olivia Edwards of Edmond and goalkeeper Carina Schanz of Neuweiler, Germany.
