Valet Parking Comes to Main Street in Westport this Holiday Season

WESTPORT, CT — The Board of Selectmen have approved the use of Main Street in Westport for a Downtown Merchants’ Association–sponsored valet service during this year's Holiday shopping season.

Beginning Friday, November 25, and continuing on the dates noted below through December 24, consumers arriving in the Downtown area will have the option of having their vehicles parked via the fully insured, professional valet service, Valet Park of America. Cost of the service is $5 per vehicle.

The plan had been tabled earlier in the month because the selectmen had questions about insurance and other issues, which were eventually resolved to the board's satisfaction.

“I am excited that shoppers will have the opportunity to have their vehicles valet parked, providing a more enjoyable shopping and dining experience during the busy Holiday season,” said First Selectman Jim Marpe in a statement.

The Valet Park of America service will be available from noon to 6 p.m. at the kiosk located in front of Athleta at the intersection of Main and Elm Streets on the following days:

Fridays - November 25 and December 23

Saturdays - November 26, December 3, 10, 17 and 24

Sundays - November 27, December 4, 11 and 18
