A South Carolina man was taken into custody on Friday after police discovered an estimated 10,000 guns they believe were stolen stored on his property.

After receiving a tip, police in Chesterfield County arrested Brent Nicholson after discovering the guns and ammunition piled high in a shed, reports WSOC-TV.

"He was hoarding most of it, but it's all stolen material from all over numerous counties and it's going to take a lot to sort all this out,” Chesterfield Sheriff Jay Brooks explained.

According to authorities, they also discovered more stolen goods in a truck on the property -- including taxidermy -- and additional guns they believe were also stolen stored in a liquor store Nicholson owns with his father.

Police in several counties have had their eye on Nicholson, believing him to be buying and hoarding guns knowing they were stolen, but they don't believe that he was reselling them.
