Hikes chosen for NFHCA Division III Senior Game

Division III Senior Game Release

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. —
Senior forward Jacki Hikes was one of 60 players across Division III to be selected for the National Field Hockey Coaches Assocation's (NFHCA) Senior Game. The organization announced the participants in a release Wednesday morning. Hikes is the seventh player in program history to represent the Elizabethtown College field hockey team and it is the second consecutive year the Blue Jays have had a player in the game.

A four-year player under coach Brandy Michael [Espenshade], who also played in the Senior Game in 2002, Hikes has gotten stronger as the season has progressed. The Nazareth, Pa. native has recorded at least a point in her last nine games, which is the longest streak of her career. Her assist in this past Saturday's game against Drew gave her a single-season career-high 11 assists, the top mark in the Landmark Conference this season. She is the only player in the league with double-digit assists.

Hikes also became the 11th player in program history to reach 100 points for her career back on October 10. She ranks ninth in career points with 111 and is up to third in career assists with 29. Only two other players in school history have at least 30 career assists.

Hikes is one of three players from the Landmark to be chosen. Sarah Bilheimer (Juniata) and Tarah Portland (Catholic) are the others. The 2015 Victory Sports Tour/NFHCA Division III Senior Game will be held on Saturday, November 21 at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va. The game will start at 4 p.m.
