Ian Butterbrodt
Division 1: St. John’s Prep
The senior’s 223 career wins are the most in state history. Butterbrodt was this year’s New England champion at 220 pounds. He finished the season with a 59-0 record, placing first at the Division 1 and All-State meets.
Fritz Hoehn
Division 2: North Andover
Hoehn was unbeatable this year. He finished his season as the New England champion at 170 pounds, with a 56-0 record. The senior is a three-time Division 2 state champion and a four-time All-State finalist. He career record is 195-15.
Luke Boyle
Division 3: Triton

Boyle took the 152-pound title at the All-State and New England meets this year. He added that to his already impressive résumé, which includes a 198-46 career record, four All-State qualifications, and a national qualification.
All-Scholastics
Michael Aquino, Catholic Memorial, senior
A repeat All-Scholastic selection, Aquino won the Division 2 title at 113 pounds before finishing third at the All-State meet and fourth at the New Englands. He was also a Catholic Conference All-Star. As a junior, Aquino went 47-0.
Christopher DeRosa, Billerica, sophomore
DeRosa posted a 49-3 season record and was an All-State champion at 113 pounds. He also took the title at the Division 1 state tournament. DeRosa has a career record of 88-9 and is a two-time North sectional champion.
Brandon DesFosses, Central Catholic, junior
DesFosses won the Division 2 title for the 145 class and was named Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. He wrapped up the winter with a 44-3 record. He has a 111-16 career record and placed three times at the state level.
Andrew Ellis, Arlington, senior
Ellis won the All-State title at 126 pounds this year. He was also a Division 2 state champion. The senior finished the season with a 45-3 record. His 127-25 career record is the best for a wrestler at Arlington.

Russell Feye, Lincoln-Sudbury, senior
Feye earned a Division 1 state championship at 132 pounds and made it to the finals at the All-State meet. He ended the season with a 51-5 record, contributing to his 128-31 career tally. Feye will attend Sacred Heart.
Matt Froio, Cohasset, senior
Froio followed his Division 3 state championship by placing third at the All-State and New England meets. He wrapped up this past winter with a 47-2 record. Froio wrestles at 182 and has won a school-best 138 matches.
Quintin Holland, Danvers, sophomore
Holland was an All-State finalist and a Division 3 state champion this year. He finished the season with a 40-9 record at 152 pounds, lifting his career mark to 69-22. Holland is an honors student and also plays football for the Falcons.
Matt Kelley, Foxboro, sophomore
The highlight of Kelley’s season was an All-State championship in the 120-pound class. Kelley finished 50-2 this season, with 33 pins. He won the Division 3 state championship and improved his career mark to 100-11.
Owen Murray, Barnstable, senior
Murray dominated the field at 285 pounds, winning the Division 1 South, Division 1, All-State, and New England titles. He was an Old Colony League All-Star in wrestling and in football.
Jake O’Brien, Framingham, senior
After winning the Division 1 state championship, O’Brien placed second at All-States and third at the New Englands to finish his season with a 45-4 record at 195 pounds. He closed out his career with a 100-23 record.

Eric Reyes, Dedham, junior
Division 3 Wrestler of the Year as a sophomore, Reyes took All-Scholastic honors again as a junior. Competing at 160 pounds, he won the Division 3 state title and was the top EMass wrestler at his weight.
Nicholas Rose, Arlington, senior
Rose won the Division 2 state title, was an All-State finalist, and finished fifth at the New Englands. Wrestling in the competitive 220-pound weight class, he went 44-4 this season. The senior finished his career with a 114-26 record.
Jonathan Ryan, Dracut, senior
Ryan won the All-State title at 132 pounds after winning the Division 2 title a week earlier. He also placed third at the New Englands. The senior ended the season with a 50-2 record and is committed to Campbell University.
Josh Sokol, Hopkinton, junior
Sokol earned a Division 2 state championship at 285, and followed that with second-place finishes at the All-State meet and at the New Englands. His season record was 40-4 and he was named MVP of the Tri-Valley League.
Dan Wensley, Wakefield, senior
Wensley was this year’s All-State champion at 195 pounds. He also won the Division 3 title and was a New England semifinalist. Wensley was named the Middlesex League’s Wrestler of the Year, finishing with a 52-5 record.
Coaches of the Year
Bruce Rich
Division 1: Chelmsford
Rich led Chelmsford to a 20-7-1 season and a second-place finish at the Division 1 meet. Along the way he earned his 1,000th win in a career that includes football and softball. Rich has a career wrestling record of 554-136-7.

Kevin Cummings
Division 2: Arlington
Arlington won the Mass Coaches Division 2 state championship before finishing third at the MIAA Division 2 meet. Arlington also won the Middlesex League title this winter.
Michael McMahon
Division 3: Somerset Berkley
In his 15th season, McMahon coached the Raiders to MIAA and MIWCA state championships, as well as a South sectional team title and the officials’ Sportsmanship Award. McMahon has a career record of 117-83.
