The recent Supreme Court rulings on Obamacare and so-called “gay marriage” demonstrate the unapologetic abuse of power by the judicial branch.
Chief Justice John Roberts revealed his true identity as a closet moderate when he joined 4 left-leaning judges and Reagan-appointed Justice Anthony Kennedy in a 6-3 decision in favor of keeping Obamacare subsidies at current levels.
Justice Kennedy also sided with the left-leaning judges in the court’s 5-4 decision to prevent states from placing a ban on gay marriage.
These legal victories for the left are reinforcing the reality that America is suffering from a plague of moral bankruptcy and an abandonment of the rule of law.
We the people, supposedly represented by our members of Congress, have the power to impeach Supreme Court Justices. Article III, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution states that judges “shall hold their offices during good behavior…”
The Supreme Court’s attempt to hijack the legislative branch’s authority to create laws is a direct violation of good behavior and constitutes grounds for impeachment.
We cannot allow the Supreme Court to ignore the separation of powers among the three branches of government and adopt the same unilateral decision-making policies demonstrated by our president.
