Russia gets on the road to Eurovision success

Russian flag

Our friends in Russia have announced their plans for November’s Junior Eurovision.

Rather than a national final, Russia went for an internal selection and have chosen Alisa Kozhikina to sing ‘Dreamer’.  In addition to singing, Alisa has co-written the song with Olga Seryabkina – one of the girl band Serebro – and Maxim Fadeev – who has written for Serebro and Julia Savicheva.  It therefore appears Russia means business this year.

Russia has participated nine times to date, and have racked up one win.  You might know the performers.  They were the Tolmachevy Twins.  They took part in some other contest in Copenhagen a few months ago.

Below is Alisa’s entry for JESC, coming from Malta on Saturday 15 November.
