Registration Form for Heritage Conservation Summit 2015
The Heritage Conservation Society, City Government of Silay City and the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental will organize the Heritage Conservation Summit 2015 from 10-11 October 2015 at the Sen. Jose C. Locsin Cultural and Civic Center in Silay City.

The Summit, which is being organized for the fourth time, has adopted the theme Incentives for Conservation and Adaptive Reuse. It aims to bring together a wide spectrum of participants representing national government, local government units, historical, cultural & heritage organizations, the academe, heritage conservation practitioners & allied professionals, architects, planners & real estate developers, the tourism industry, and the media. Its primary objective is to discuss & exchange proposals on fiscal, financial, and other incentives, grants or subsidies that will encourage owners, developers and policy makers to conserve heritage properties, & recent developments, challenges & opportunities faced in the conservation of heritage. The presentations will include proposed legislation for incentives. Here are some of our proposed incentives: https://www.facebook.com/notes/ivan-about-town/proposed-incentives-for-heritage-conservation-and-adaptive-reuse/1032354246776987

A round-table discussion on revitalizing old districts as an incentive for private sector investments will also be part of the program. The case study for this roundtable discussion will be Manila’s Arroceros District.

We have 200 available slots for the summit. It will be a one-day affair, with an optional educational tour of heritage buildings and sites in Negros Occidental after the conference. We invite you to participate in the summit and learn more about possible incentives for conservation and adaptive reuse.

On-site registration is Php2,000 inclusive of conference kits and meals.
