Single Spotlight: Beverly Hills Nights at Il Pastaio

Dear friends,

I just have to share some recent special moments with you... including me eating pasta! Yes, I eat pasta... especially when it's drizzled with tons of truffles from our amazingly gracious host Giacomino Drago, the head chef of Il Pastaio.

First of all, it's simply a fact that one can never have enough truffles in their life. My taste buds begin to water before I even stepped out of my convertible to the curb side of Il Pastaio. It was just a casual Tuesday, and we were getting together for a fun girls night dinner after a fabulous Neiman Marcus event for the designer Jonathan Simkhai (more details to follow in a separate recap shortly).

But this is not about NM, or the event... this recap is purely in regards to the most amazing restaurant in Los Angeles, and the most incredibly generous and gracious chef. Chef Drago's food is sublime, and the Italian Gavi de Gavi that they serve went perfectly with what we ordered - the grilled calamari salad and the tuna carpaccio.

But of course, the Piece de Resistance was when Chef Drago sent us a huge complimentary pasta dish covered with shaved truffles! Bravo to our lovely dear friend, who many times has hosted the most amazing dinner parties at the home of my friends.

Can't wait to return, and enjoy more scrumptious dishes from Chef Drago!
