Pro-Life Group Priests for Life Still Fighting to Stop Obama From Making It Obey HHS Mandate

Opinion   |   Father Frank Pavone   |   Aug 31, 2016   |   7:09PM   |   Washington, DC

For years I’ve been telling you about the “HHS mandate” that tries to force us, and other employers, to include coverage for abortion-inducing drugs in the health insurance plans we offer our employees. We have said “No!”, will continue to say “No!” and have brought this challenge all the way to the Supreme Court (see www.IStandWithPFL.com).

After nearly five years of legal battles, the Supreme Court earlier this year told us and the government that we should sit down and work things out, as it was their opinion — and ours in fact — that a solution could be found that preserved our religious freedom. Those discussions have gotten underway. And then, to our surprise, the government opened up the process to public comment.

So now, you have a chance to join us in saying “No!” directly to the government’s efforts to deny religious freedom and expand abortion.

The deadline for public comments is 11:59pm on Tuesday, September 20.

Priests for Life will hold a webcast on Monday night, September 12 at 9:00 PM Eastern, to explain to concerned citizens how they can lend their voices in support of Priests for Life, the Little Sisters, and various dioceses and Christian ministries who have stood firm against the government’s attempt to make them complicit in the expansion of abortion.  Sign up at www.PriestsForLife.org/Webcast.

I will be on the webcast along with attorney Robert Muise of the American Freedom Law Center.

I am confident that Americans believe in religious freedom and will engage the process of public comment.  With this webcast we will help interested people, Churches, and groups to do so.

If you care about the right to freely practice your faith join this webcast and encourage others to do the same.
