25 Scary Haunted Houses, Ghost Tours & Hayrides for Philly Teens and Tweens

Older children who love a good scare during the Halloween season have no shortage of options in the Philadelphia area. We’ve compiled a list of haunted houses, hotels and hospitals, ghost tours, zombie-filled amusement parks, horrifying hayrides and creepy corn mazes. Tweens and teens will find werewolves, witches, skeletons, bloody monsters and menacing clowns around every corner at many of these terrifying entertainment venues. Most of these events are NOT recommended for children under the age of 12. Be sure to check each house's website for more info on dates and schedules. Enter if you dare!
- Take candlelight walking Ghost Tours through Independence Park, Society Hill and Old City.
- Visit over 20 haunted sites on the Spirits of 76 Ghost Tours in downtown Philadelphia.
- Climb aboard a haunted battleship for Ghost Tours of the USS Olympia at Penn’s Landing.
- Drive to the Lancaster County countryside for a frightful event at Jason's Woods.
- Attend spooky events at Laurel Hill Cemetery throughout October, including flashlight tours and ghost stories.
- Venture to Fort Mifflin on the Delaware for guided candlelight ghost tours of this National Historic Landmark and intact Revolutionary War battlefield.
- Dare to enter Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary, consistently ranked one of the scariest Halloween
